Because of the COVID pandemic, students have found it very hard to find internships in 2020 and 2021, with only 17% of university students having an internship in the last year (Financial Times). This is a major problem, since internships help students acquire important skills, and work experience is a differentiator for employers.

At the same time, the Fintech industry is booming, and many Fintech companies, big or small, are hiring. However, most do not focus on hiring students, and many students are unaware of the opportunities.

Global Fintech Internship Experience.

CFTE believes that there needs to be a disruption to the way internships work. The Global Fintech Internship Experience was designed to bridge this gap. It is a free one-week programme for students interested in Fintech, and is designed to give them insights in the industry, skills from an applied project, and a line to put on their CVs.

The Centre of Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) is a UK based education platform with the mission of educating finance professionals at scale by focusing on FinTech and AI.
